Job Summary
The Automotive Dealership Sales Associate plays a vital role in reinforcing the Hanania brand and culture by demonstrating a positive attitude and high energy. They possess in-depth knowledge of characteristics, capabilities, and features of vehicles, enabling them to develop and qualify buyers and close sales. This role is responsible for achieving sales goals, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction, and staying adaptable to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Forecast monthly goals and targets at the beginning of each month.
  • Maintain a daily understanding of the dealership's inventory.
  • Engage in prospecting activities through phone, mail, and in-person interactions, maintaining a prospect development system.
  • Implement an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business, contributing to customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve vehicle sales goals and deliver vehicles to customers.
  • Ensure customers understand vehicle operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Emphasize the dealership's service operations, introducing customers to the Service Department.
  • Stay knowledgeable about automobile terminology and technological changes in the product.
  • Demonstrate automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features, conducting test drives, and explaining warranties and services.
  • Close sales by overcoming objections, negotiating price, completing sales or purchase contracts, and offering warranties, services, and financing.
  • Provide sales management information through timely completion of reports.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
  • Enhance dealership reputation by accepting ownership of new requests and exploring opportunities to add value.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Basic MS Office knowledge; proficiency in computer software and internet use.
  • Enthusiasm for the Automotive Dealership industry with a focus on superior customer service.
  • Strong communication skills and work ethic.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong background in internet and phone sales.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)
Education & Experience
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales role at a dealership.
  • Experience maintaining high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index).
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.
  • Prolonged periods of walking on a level surface throughout the dealership
