POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Associate has outstanding customer service skills, are strong communicators, and demonstrate strong multi-tasking skills. Sales Associates are integral to the success by driving sales by modeling best practices for customer interactions, processing sales in the POS system, and keeping the retail space organized, tidy, and stocked.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Check out cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift
Managing cash levels in cash drawers during the shift.
Greet customers and inquire about their needs
Notify the customers of any current promotions
Gather the product the customer has decided to purchase
Verbally confirm that the customer has everything they need, and do not have any additional questions.
Process the sale in the POS system.
Read items back to customers as you are bagging items
Count money
Assist in inventory, stock, and restock merchandise
Advise customers and assist when needed to locate or replace products
Operate cash register and assist customers with purchases
Work with other team members and leaders to ensure a high-quality customer experience
Assist with preparations for displays
Update customer profiles, loyalty accounts, and preferences when necessary
Meet established sales quota
Regularly disinfect the retail area (per CDC guidelines - after every use)
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, & ABILITIES)
Ability to work retail hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
2 years+ of customer relations and sales experience
Knowledge of cannabis products and accessories
Knowledge of Treez, Weedmaps is a plus
Analytical problem solving
Cash handling
Proven organizational skills
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
Strong writing skills
Understand and follow protocol for the proper lines of communication
Clear understanding of company mission and values
Must pass background check and comply with all cannabis laws and regulations
