Sales Associate
This position is responsible for selling all of products and services in the assigned sales territory and meeting both revenue and profitability goals. The Sales Associate works closely with Senior Account Executives to focus efforts on increasing new business and with Sales Leadership to develop and execute specific strategies to achieve these sales, customer satisfaction and profitability goals.
Job Duties:
- Conducts daily sales calls to establish new and maintain ongoing business with referral sources in the medical community.
- Works with Sales Leadership and Senior Account Executives to validate and develop territory call plans to qualify new and maintain existing accounts, with intent to grow the business.
- Educates referral sources on the use of products and services.
- Maintains the highest level of customer satisfaction by resolving and following up on customer concerns.
- Communicates and explains Medicare and private insurance procedures, pricing information, and product information to referral sources.
- Enters call plan and logs calls along with the decisions and outcomes into the Customer Relationship System.
- Maintains accurate records on prospective and active accounts ensuring information is sent to reimbursement for billing and collection.
- Increases referral volume from assigned accounts by promotion within business lines and cross selling among business lines through regular and ongoing solicitation/facilitation of referral orders from assigned accounts.
- Accepts referrals based on a current knowledge and understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance reimbursement guidelines for services and/or equipment.
- Acts as a resource to all external customers to facilitate resolution of AdaptHealth patient issues in coordination with members of the operational teams within AdaptHealth to assure optimal patient and referral source outcomes.
- Evaluates interrelationship of referral source, medical team and reimbursement concerns and strives to make fact-based, balanced decisions.
- Participates in obtaining MD orders/signatures for appropriate documentation and original prescriptions while on-site when the Intake team is unable to do so.
- Identifies programs or initiatives that potentially could increase company revenues, decrease costs, and/or increase referral source/patient satisfaction.
- Retain knowledge of and consistently adhere to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control and hazardous materials handling.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- One (1) year experience in sales is required, B2B or B2C Sales experience preferred.
- Three (3) years DME, Diabetes, Incontinence experience is preferred.
- Exact job experience considered must be DME, Diabetes, Incontinence Sales.
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence.
