Salary + Commission. The salary range is $100,000- $300,000 per year, based on experience.
The Sales Associate is the dealership’s first line customer-relations and sales representative. This position requires achieving and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction while meeting pre-determined sales objectives and the thorough and accurate performance of designated administrative activities
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Customer Relations - Maintain a high level of grooming, hygiene and appearance; Conduct all business with sincerity, honesty and genuine concern for customers; Promptly meet and greet sales customers in a friendly and courteous manner; Listen to the customer’s needs; Handle customer complaints or misunderstandings with courtesy, tact and in a manner that does not further aggravate problems; Personally turnover to the sales manager or other management representatives customers with complaints that can’t be satisfied at the associate level; Answer calls promptly, courteously and make every effort to satisfy the caller’s inquiry
- Sales- Sell the proper boat for the customer’s needs; Set individual sales objectives; Make a genuine effort to sell any related service contract available for the manufacturer; Give every customer a quote approved by management; Maintain a record of all customer interaction; Follow up with customers after the sale; Review the sales performance on a regular basis; Meet or exceed sales objectives set by management. Use company CRM to accurately and timely add notes to prospect files.
- Administration- Properly, thoroughly and legibly write sales agreement for customers as designated by management; Follow the sales process in place by management; Properly document all aspects of the sales transaction; Carefully inspect every finished sales agreement to make sure there are no errors; Maintain a record of every sales transaction; Perform other specific administrative functions as directed by management
- Communication- Maintain communications with the Service and Parts Departments; Communicate any problems/complaints to management; Make the sales manger aware of any changes in your schedule in a reasonable time frame; Communicate the delivery day and time to the appropriate people; Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare or integrity of the dealership, its employees or customers
- Facility - Maintain a high level of dealership cleanliness in the department and individual work areas; Observe proper use of the Sales Department’s customer parking; Help properly maintain customer reception area and waiting facilities

Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Boating/trailering experience and prior marine dealership experience helpful
- Professional appearance
- Be team-oriented, self-motivated, and process driven
- Have a valid state driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen
