Frette, the leading provider of luxury linens to the finest hotels and homes worldwide, has an exciting Sales Assistantopportunity at our Frette Retail boutique in Boston, MA. The Sales Assistant is an integral part of the retail environment and is responsible for:

  • Performing store opening and closing procedures
  • Ensuring compliance of all operational policies & procedures are met at all times
  • Accurately processing all POS transactions and capturing of customer information
  • Assisting whenever necessary on the sales floor by providing floor coverage in times of need and ensuring customer service standards are met
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures with a focus on loss prevention and operational excellence
  • Taking inventory and examining merchandise to identify and monitor opportunities with store manager
  • Acting as a liaison with the store manager by working together in regards to inventory levels in the store, as well as partnering with sales associates to ensure customer is always first and sales are carried out successfully
  • Start of shift and end of shift check ins with management on a daily basis
  • Taking full ownership of the organization and the upkeep of the stockroom (FOH, BOH, cash wrap included)
  • Performing stockroom maintenance, stock checks, and shipping of product (transfers, customer related items, instore and E-commerce fulfillments)
  • Establishing and maintaining strong vendor relations (Cleanway, Global Facilities, RSM, etc)
  • Informing store of new receipts, out of stocks, best sellers (on hand inventory levels), etc.
  • Following Frette packaging guidelines for any ship outs, maintaining a consistent company perspective and expectation on charge sends, returns/exchanges, and other such transactions that are critical to a positive customer experience
  • Inventory Control ownership – communicating adjustments, discrepancies, negative on hands, etc.
  • Training all store staff on operational procedures
  • Cost conscious when ordering supplies, messenger services, etc.
  • Partnering with IT on any helpdesk related inquiries
  • Assist with offsite activities including but not limited to home installations, bank drops, tailor etc
  • Additional responsibilities as needed

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience within a retail environment
  • Must possess and consistently exhibit the competencies relative to the position
  • Excellent skills in operating personal computers, shipping systems, POS systems, and various software packages including MS Office and the Google Drive
  • Detail oriented, strong organization and follow up skills
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated and ability to work well independently as well as within a team atmosphere
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift items weighing up to 50lbs
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude that contributes to a positive team environment
  • Team oriented but also self-driven with entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members along with willingness to set and maintain high standards of performance
  • Willingness to have a positive partnership with the Corporate team as well as other store teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
