Sales Arborist

Responsibilities: Sales Arborists serve as the client’s primary point of contact throughout the sales and service delivery process. In addition to the primary role the Sales Arborist may be tasked with providing frontline support to the production crew and Client Relations in activities and initiatives outside of the regular scope. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Demonstrate behaviors mirroring the pillars of values of Barrett Tree Service East (Educate, Inspire, Deliver) while promoting integrity and good business ethics throughout the company
• Maintain existing accounts, develop new business opportunities and build professional relationships. Sales territory will consist of the Boston metro region (128 belt area) with a distinct focus on residential prospects and commercial entities
• Develop unique, arboriculturally sound recommendations and solutions to client needs; define project scope, sell all facets of tree, plant health and lawn care; create and present project proposals; close sales; schedule work
• Draft work orders and instruct crews on key elements of job scope to ensure executed work meets ANSI A300 and client expectations
• Set up crews, supervise work being performed, and complete jobs to clients’ satisfaction
• Follow up with clients once work is completed to ensure work performed and resolving issues if needed
• Sales prospecting using consultative sales techniques to build long standing business relationships
• Provide work to the production team by meeting and exceeding sales goals
• Proactively seek inefficiencies and collaborate with coworkers to create and implement strategies to increase efficiency and generate increased value to shareholder success
• Participate in industry related and community events in presenting to community organizations, arboricultural associations and key stakeholders to preserve and educate in the current trends of tree, plant and lawn health care

Qualifications: A driven individual with a passion for arboriculture, desire for growth and a client first mentality.

• A related degree or 2-3 years industry related experience with a notable concentration in residential and commercial properties
• Proven track record of success
• Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills, basic math skills, and competency with MSOffice
• Valid driver's license required with clean driving record
• Currently hold ISA and/or MCA certification
• Possess/ability to obtain within 120 days of hire: MA applicator license and Commercial Driver’s License

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
