Ag Plus Cooperative, one of Minnesota’s best locally owned cooperatives, is currently looking for Senior Agronomy Sales Representatives in southwest Minnesota. Ag Plus has experienced tremendous growth in our Agronomy division the past few years. With this growth, we have immediate openings in Canby, Ghent, Hendricks and Slayton, Minnesota. Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Market specific products and services, such as fertilizer, chemicals and seed to growers
- Provide product advice in relation to production of crops directly to growers
- Develop and implement agronomic plans and practices to support grower plans and budgets to maximize production
- Provide support, knowledge and recommendations to customers in a professional manner
- Develop new and grow existing sales of Ag Plus products and services through sales calls and face to face meetings
- Develop and maintain long term professional relationships with growers
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work additional hours during periods of high demand
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Minimum of four years experience successfully managing customer accounts
- Must have an in-depth understanding of the following: fertilizer, herbicides, fungicides, VR fertilizer prescriptions, VR seed prescriptions, seed, seed treatments, grid sampling, GDU accumulations, risk management
