Safety Zone Monitor

Looking for a Red Zone Attendant for a 4 month project in Mobile, AL. As a Red Zone Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our personnel and assets during the installation of new equipment in designated red zone areas within a steel mill. You will be responsible for monitoring and controlling access to restricted areas to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering, thus maintaining a safe working environment for all employees involved in the installation process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor designated red zone areas within the steel mill during the installation of new equipment.
• Control access to restricted areas by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that only authorized personnel enter the designated zones.
• Communicate effectively with installation team members, supervisors, and other personnel to coordinate access and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to any breaches of safety protocols or unauthorized entry into restricted areas, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
• Document and report any incidents, safety hazards, or violations observed during your shift to the relevant authorities.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in industrial settings or construction sites preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant for extended periods.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols, particularly in industrial environments.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
