Overview
The Safety Systems Specialist works under the direction of the Safety System Manager to develop, deploy, and maintain health and safety programs and processes to support Safety and Health goals. This position works within a Safety System team to develops, implement, and maintain programs and software applications that support the Safety, Health, Security, and Training systems.
Schedule :
Typical business hours, 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Role allows for future hybrid / remote flexibility, contingent upon manager approval based on site needs.

- Design, develop, and oversee corporate safety training programs.
- Maintains Company management database - Velocity.
- Develop and maintain corporate systems for safety records and data.
- Assist with creation and updates of corporate safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with investigation needs
- Administer existing and successor programs such as Velocity, MSDS Online,
- Brady 360, OHM, Code Red, VPP applications, GoCanvas, Jot Forms, Adobe Sign, Vendor
- Management Programs Client and Customer side, PPE programs, Safety Survey, Safety related
- Training content library, Audit program, Industrial Hygiene Resource Coordination, Workers
- Compensation, Investigation Support, SAF-related policy documents, Chemtrec management.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
Education
High School: Required
Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
Work Experience Qualification Preferences
- 1-3 years’ Experience within a health and safety role.
- 1-3 years as administrative assistant or project management.
- 1-3 years’ experience in software management, document control, or other related fields.
- 1-3 years written communication – experience developing and producing a variety of written documents for an organization.
- 1-3 years’ experience in learning and development and/or training delivery.
- 1-3 years learning systems, content management and instructional design.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to handle a fast paced environment.
- Detail Oriented
- Ability to learn new programs quickly.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
