We are currently seeking an Safety Onboarding Specialist to join our company.

Job DescriptionAs a Safety Onboarding Specialist, you play a crucial role as the first point of contact for new employees, fostering a safety-centric culture and ensuring their preparedness for fieldwork. Your primary responsibilities include informing new hires about potential job hazards, leading safety orientations, and certifying employees in our driving program, CPR & First Aid, and Flagging. Our overarching goal is zero harm, ensuring that every employee returns home safely every day.
Job Duties:
• Conduct safety orientations for new and rehired employees.
• Electronically document and file new employee information.
• Create and manage profiles for all employees, ensuring compliance with yearly required training.
• Communicate any new hire restrictions to relevant personnel.
• Coordinate with recruiters to gather information for orientation preparation.
• Relay CW Wright Way Driving Results to the Fleet Department.
• Ensure new hires are informed about their job site post-orientation.
• Manage PPE distribution, replacements, and returns, along with F/R clothing.
• Instruct driving classes and road tests for eligible new employees.
• Teach First Aid/CPR/AED and basic flagging to employees without current certifications.
• Assign and manage online training courses for new and current employees.
• Actively participate in safety meetings as the primary face of safety for new employees.
• Handle Dig-In Report forms and monthly man-hours on the managed site.
• Manage social media platforms and create relevant content.
• Assist with certification trainings for field employees, prepare materials, order CPR supplies, and recertify CPR instructors.
• Serve as the front face for new hires and rehires entering the company.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• High organizational skills with a keen ability to record-keep.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Initiative to enhance the new hire orientation experience continually.
Education & Experience:
• Minimum education: High School Diploma.
• Construction and Electrical experience are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Certifications, while not mandatory, demonstrate proficiency. Examples include OSHA 10, OSHA 30, OSHA 510, CPR/First Aid, Flagging Instructor, and CDL License (future requirement).
