You will serve as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist in the Safety and Occupational Health Office of NB CORONADO.
The salary range for the GS-11 is $78,307 to $101,796.
The salary range for the GS-09 is $64,722 to $84,135.Qualifications: For GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Inspecting the work environment for hazardous operational conditions; 2) Identifying the origin, cause and contributing elements of mishaps and hazardous conditions occurring in the work environment; 3) Presenting safety and mishap prevention training to employees; 4) Advising workers on safety requirements, potential accident causing situations and methods for preventing accidents. NOTE: Experience must be fully supported in your resume to be considered for this position.
For GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifying and resolving hazardous operational conditions in the work environment; 2) Recording the circumstances of accidents in the workplace (e.g. witness statements, description of property damage, extent of injuries); 3) Presenting safety and mishap prevention training to employees. A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in safety or OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH fields (safety, OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, industrial hygiene) or a degree in other related fields that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours of study form among the following (or closely related) disciplines: safety, OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, and industrial psychology.
OR
Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in safety or OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH fields (safety, OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, industrial hygiene) or a degree in other related fields that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours of study form among the following (or closely related) disciplines: safety, OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, and industrial psychology.
