TITLE: Safety
REPORTS TO: Safety Manager
PAY RATE: $15
SUMMARY:
Full time position. This associate will report directly to the Belmar Safety Manager. He or She will observe all three shifts, ensuring all Belmar associates, Leads, and Supervisors adhere to all safety policies and procedures at all times. The Safety associate will work closely with the Lead/Supervisors regarding Accident/Incident Reporting. He or She will oversee and work with the Leads/Supervisors with Near Miss reporting, Equipment Observations, Safety Observations etc. This position will perform hourly Whse/Dept Walks using a Microsoft Form for documentation. He or She will report all concerns to the Safety manager immediately.
Monday – Friday, Saturdays if necessary.
Flex Schedule and Shifts. Visiting 1st Shifts (2 actual buildings) and 2nd shift and/or part time on 2 shifts.
Shifts start and end times can vary due to production needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Associate will be responsible for clocking in for the day, out for lunch, in from lunch and out for the day.
Perform hourly warehouse walks utilizing forms for documentation.
Observing all departments regarding safety practices.
Rolling out new safety initiatives.
Overview all Lead and Supervisor reporting (Near Miss, Equipment Observations etc)
Attending all safety meetings
Reviewing all shift startup meetings and their documentation
Ensure all safety documents are filed
Instruct PIT classes as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a production or distribution warehouse environment
Bilingual a Plus (English as Spanish)
Must have at least 1 full year experience on a counterbalance forklift (Sitdown)
Comfortable with Computers and Microsoft Office programs
Legal to work in the U.S.
