Form of workAbout the Position: This position is with the 99th Regional Support Command, Safety Office located in Fort Dix, New Jersey.Qualifications:
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes includes managing safety or Occupational Health program elements; applying Safety and Occupational Health laws, regulations, principles, theories, practices, and procedures to advise on or resolve technical matters dealing with occupational Safety and health requirements; identifying accident trends and developing recommending countermeasures; applying standard storage methods and hazard classifications for ammunition, explosives and/or solid propellants sufficient to minimize their potential for causing mishaps while in storage and possible injuries to personnel and damage to property; performing investigations of mishaps involving wide range of industrial and tactical operations; developing Safety and Occupational Health standards, regulations, practices, or procedures to eliminate or control potential hazards; inspecting or surveying workplaces, processes, products, or other systems for compliance with established Safety and Occupational Health policies or standards and to identify potential new hazards; and training of workers, supervisors, managers, or other Safety and Occupational Health personnel in safety or Occupational Health subjects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).Education: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
