Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. Safety Advisor
Job Summary
This position is located in Platteville, CO as a member of Western Midstream’s Operations Health, Safety & Environmental Team. The position is a field-based role and will be responsible for the support and coordination of Health & Safety activities associated with our operations in the Rockies.
Qualifications
- Ten (10) + years of Health, Safety & Environmental experience in oil & gas.
- Demonstrates senior career level technical competence related to Health, Safety and Environmental issues, procedures, and regulations as they apply Oil and Gas operations (Midstream and/or Exploration & Production).
- Effective interpersonal skills dealing with personnel at various levels and in a variety of functions.
- Ability to challenge the organization in a manner that maintains trust and respect.
- Proficient technical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively present complex topics in a concise manner.
Responsibilities
- Initiates and manages programs that support corporate and regional HSE goals
- HSE program, policy, and compliance responsibility for one (1) or more asset operational groups
- Assists in the development of HSE programs and identifies program improvement opportunities
- Ability to schedule and complete HSE inspections and compliance assessments and develop corrective action plans with internal stakeholders
- Responds to HSE incidents and facilitates incident investigations
- Develops, plans, and delivers HSE trainings
- Participates in HSE Audits and assists with drafting corrective action plans according to findings
- Support emergency response drills taking an active or lead response team role
- Coordinates contractor project management including contractor selection and approvals, project budgeting and project tracking
- Partners with asset area management teams to develop HSE culture norms
- Partner with Field Operations and Engineering teams to provide process safety support (i.e. Pre- Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), Management of Change (MOC), and Process Hazards Assessments (PHA’s)
- Participate on the Western Midstream On-Call and Incident Management Team for Emergency Response
- Other duties as assigned by the Safety Manager, HSE Director of Northern Operation, or VP HSE and Security.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or other related field preferred but not required.
Licenses

This position is not eligible for relocation.

The percentage of travel required for this position is 0-10%.
Work Schedule
This position is Mon-Thurs 9 hours/Friday 4 hours work schedule. This position is subject to after hours and on call responsibilities.
The pay range for this position in Colorado annually is $104,900 - $147,600; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
