Form of workUnder general supervision of the Juvenile Court Director, performs a variety of services associated with recruitment, screening, training, supporting, and evaluating Safe Baby Court. Develops, coordinates and supports Safe Baby Court Team and other community stake holders with some case management responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, physical requirements, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics. This list of tasks is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by incumbents of this class.)A bachelor's degree in child development, social work, communications, criminal justice, or liberal arts and five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience in a related field. A valid driver's license is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience managing programs and problem solving is preferred. Master's degree preferred. Background in infant/early childhood development or a related field is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work involves the potential for long periods of sitting, standing and waiting and presenting.
Work involves the potential for physical harm and emotional stress related working in and around at-risk juveniles and their families.
