Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Perform lower extremity venous duplex ultrasound exams for venous insufficiency
- Perform lower extremity vein screenings for assessing superficial veins for reflux
- Perform lower extremity venous duplex ultrasound exams for DVT
- Perform ABI exams for peripheral arterial disease
- Prep patient room and supplies for each procedure
- Conduct inventory and order medical supplies
- Assist the physician with surgical and non-surgical procedures:
- Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA)
- Ambulatory Phlebectomy
- Sclerotherapy
- After each procedure applying compression stockings to the patient
- Clean and setup room for next procedure
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from Registered Vascular Technologist program (2 year minimum)
- Maintain registry with ARDMS
- At least 2 years of work experience
