Position: RV Service Writer

Wilson's RV & Park is a family owned multi-location RV service company that has been operating for over 30 years. We specialize in repairing all types of RVs, cargo trailers and truck hitching systems. This position is offered in our Wendell location which offers a full RV Dealership along with a 25 site Campground.

Successful candidates for this position will need to be a people-person who is a very good listener, has excellent follow-through skills, and has a sharp eye for details.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with customers on the phone to initially discuss the repairs needed on their RV and schedule appointment in the shop calendar.
• Greet customers and review in-person the issues they are having with their RV, and then clearly articulate the repair information to allow technicians to complete that work accurately and efficiently.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to customers. Insure that the work to be performed will meet the customers expectations.
• Recommend additional parts and services that the customer may need or maybe interested in, using low pressure, high integrity methods.
• Inspect and test completed repairs and recording findings. Insure all repairs have been completed as promised and that the RV work areas have been clean-up and made ready for customer delivery.
• Receive parts request forms from technicians and determine the most efficient and economical way to acquire parts for repairs.
• Work closely with Insurance companies to provide damage estimates and then work through their process of getting the repair approved.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must have excellent customer service skills and abilities to talk with customers concerning their issues and the costs associated with those problems.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders to access the vehicles being repaired.
• Experience with 12-volt systems, plumbing, LP gas, and other elements of RV Repair helpful.
• Although RV experience is preferred, company would be willing to train the right person who is willing to work and learn at the same time.
• Reliable transportation to and from company location.

Job Type: Full-Time

Wage:

• Wage will be dependent on RV/Service Writer experience.
