As we continue to grow, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Runner, specializing in final inspections and permit acquisition. This runner will operate between the areas of Sacramento and San Jose.

Job Summary:

As a Runner for final inspections and permit acquisition, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient completion of roofing projects. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate local regulatory processes for permit acquisition. You will collaborate closely with our project management and construction teams to streamline the beginning and final stages of roofing projects.

Responsibilities:

Final Inspections:

- Coordinate and schedule final inspections with local building authorities under supervision of our Project Managers and Permit Coordinator.

- Ensure that roofing projects comply with relevant building codes and regulations.

- Address any issues identified during inspections and work closely with the construction team to resolve them promptly.

Permit Acquisition:

- Research and understand local permit requirements and regulations for roofing projects under supervision of our Project Managers and Permit Coordinator.

- Prepare and submit permit applications to the appropriate regulatory bodies.

- Track the status of permit applications and follow up to ensure timely approvals.

Communication:

- Maintain clear and open communication with project managers, construction teams, and local authorities.

- Provide regular updates on the status of inspections and permit approvals.

- Address any inquiries or concerns from regulatory authorities professionally and promptly.

Documentation:

- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, permits, and related documentation.

- Ensure that all required permits are obtained and filed appropriately.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or roofing industry.

Knowledge of local building codes and permit requirements.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
