Reagent is looking to fill multiple full time positions for rubber liners who will report to the Facility Manager at Reagent’s Railcar Shop located in Houston, TX “Channelview area”. Below are the details and scope of the position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
This position will work closely with others in the railcar rubber-lining department to perform all functions relative to railcar disassembly, assembly and cleaning rubber lined railcars, as well as inspection, maintenance and application of rubber linings in railcars and on railcar service equipment fittings. The position also includes, but is not limited to, the tasks of sand blasting, adhesive application, stock cutting of rubber and other various tasks involved with the processes of cleaning, assembly/disassembly, inspection, application and maintenance of rubber lined railcars and railcar service equipment fittings. Work performed on railcars must comply with federal regulatory and industry requirements as well as company procedures & requirements. A Reagent Rubber Liner is expected to have the mechanical aptitude and experience to learn and to perform the responsibilities described.

Work Schedule:
This job is for 40 hours per week and will require overtime at times.
Education / Experience:
- 3-5 years of mechanical experience
- High school education or general education (GED)
- Experience in the rubber lining, rail industry or related field highly desired
- Ability to work in a confined space
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
