Responsibilities:
- Protect the premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; and permitting entry
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers
- Control traffic by directing drivers and pedestrians
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
- Maintain organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
- Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and following manufacturer's instructions
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Skills:
- Loss prevention: Knowledge of techniques to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities
- Certificate: Possess any relevant security certifications or licenses
- Military experience: Experience in the military or law enforcement is a plus
- Law enforcement: Understanding of laws, regulations, and protocols related to security operations
- CPR and First Aid: Ability to provide emergency medical assistance if needed
- Surveillance: Proficiency in monitoring surveillance equipment and identifying suspicious activities
- Conflict management: Skill in resolving conflicts or difficult situations calmly and professionally
- CCTV operation: Familiarity with operating closed-circuit television systems for monitoring purposes
