Route Manager

This Individual is the key and primary link between Five Star and client. Strong customer interaction skills required to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. They must ensure that customers are retained, satisfied, and that their needs are fulfilled. Supervises and coordinates activities of retail team leaders, retail merchandisers and retail location attendants. Expected to deliver best in class retail operations by performing the following duties:

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directly manager retail vending and market route operations for assigned client locations.
• Must be able to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training retail employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Directly responsible for the execution and compliance of all plan o grams, promotions, new and conversion market installations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Visit accounts and clients to maintain good relations and responds to customer needs with the utmost sense of urgency and professionalism.
• Coordinates/executes retail installations, merchandising, and promotional activities in a professional and timely manner in new and existing accounts; performs retail location inspections and inventory auditsto ensure company standards are met
• Maintain the retail operating system within accordance of program standards. Utilizes reports to determine proper replenishment, merchandising, and inventory level in established retail locations
• Reviews service frequencies to assure maximum retail sales without jeopardizing customer satisfaction; schedules and modifies retail service structure to improve productivity and control overtime compensation.
• Able to perform all job duties assigned to merchandise specialists and warehouse personnel insupport of retail operations
• Ensure the proper handling of perishable foods, inventory controls in the retail locations, pre-kit warehouse and trucks as well as analyzing financial reports to determine profitability and opportunities to increase revenue with proper merchandising, product introduction, and promotional activities.
• Ensures a safe working environment and communicates company safely policies and goals to employees; secures necessary vehicles for retail service personnel and ensures proper maintenance of fleet vehicles; oversees all aspects of building maintenance including repairs, housekeeping, and security.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or two year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience are required.

Hours of Operation

• Hours: 7 am start time
• Days: Monday - Friday
• Salary: Based on prior experience
