How You’ll Make an Impact
The Service Route Representative is responsible and accountable for providing top quality service, distribution of batteries and associated products, and great customer service support to their respective serviced locations, stores, or affiliates. Will be assigned and responsible for a company delivery truck, company-assigned laptop/tablet and company-assigned iPhone/smartphone. In the role, you would be responsible for:
- Delivering new and used batteries (cores) and ancillary products. Troubleshoots all technical issues with battery testing equipment. Maintains battery inventories or PAR levels, battery rotations (when needed, based on date code), battery warranties and processing, inventory control, warehouse management (where applicable) and overall account management.
- Driving within the safety parameters of VCA and Valvoline.
- Running data reports to assess performance or identify service/sales improvement opportunities. Works closely with Service locations and store management to exceed their inventory and service needs. Provides daily operational support, insight and service to the locations they service.
- Meeting service and supply goals and budgets as set by the Territory Manager.
- Maintaining all company-required logs, records, and reports daily.
- Maintaining proper vehicle appearance and condition.
- Acting as a back-up service route manager for other regions as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
What You’ll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of Sales/Account Management experience
- Warehousing, inventory, or stock control experience
- Delivery route experience
- OSHA and DOT knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills
- Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs. unassisted, while balancing and carrying equipment (includes bending, kneeling, lifting, etc.) - lifting, loading/unloading and delivering automobile batteries required
- Ability to withstand exposure to noise from traffic, cell phone, etc. on a daily basis
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
