We are located in Saranac, Michigan, ~20 minutes East of the Gerald R. Ford International Airport and are looking for strong, smart, high-achievers with excellent character to join our team!

Overview

The Rope Smithis a key member of our warehouse operations team who works diligently to get our customers the right rope for their next project. The Rope Smith can easily lift 75+ pounds while preparing and shipping (online) rope orders to deliver on our promise for same-day shipping (when ordered by 3 pm). The Rope Smith has a sharp, math-oriented mind, and moves quickly to cut, coil, box, and ship custom rope orders. The Rope Smith self-describes as: active, strong, competitive, logical, and a good problem solver / decision maker. The Rope Smith uses these skills to delight each customer with quality, precise work, to make exactly what the customer ordered.

Compensation

We have a positive company culture that rewards high-performance and results. Our compensation model is performance-based to incentivize, and fairly pay, highly-motivated, productive team members who continue to add more value to the team.

• Pay Range: $16.50 - 30 / hour
• Starting Wage: $16.50 / hour
• Eligible for wage increases and bonuses for meeting production metrics every 2 weeks
• Growth opportunities within the Rope Smith role (Levels 1-3) and room for career mobility

Full-Time Schedule

• Monday 7:30 - 4:30 p.m.
• Tu - Th 7:30 - 4 p.m.
• Friday 7:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Part-Time is flexible hours within this schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old, pass background check, and be drug-free
• Must be able to safely lift 75+ pounds
• Must be enrolled in high school, graduated (or equivalent)
• Must be able to measure precisely with a rope counter and tape measure
• Must be able to safely use cutting tools (shears, scissors, loppers, and hot cutters) to cut rope to length
• Ability to use rope coilers, pallet jack, scales, tape machine, and computers for order fulfillment
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-energy environment, that changes based on customer orders
• Mentally and physically strong with demonstrated grit and perseverance when faced with challenges
• Inclined toward logic and reasoning when making decisions likes to tackle and solve complex problems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
