Room Engineer - PM

Position Description:

The Edgewater is looking for Engineering/Maintenance professionals to join our team. Engineers are responsible for the mechanical efficiency, repairs, grounds, janitorial services and general maintenance of our luxury urban resort. The Engineer ensures continuous successful operations of the physical plant and lifecycle of the facilities.

Position Duties:

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assist in the continuous success of all engineering and facility maintenance to ensure highest quality efficiency and operations
• Execute effective response to work orders on repairs, work lists and assignments in timely manner
• Perform periodic walk through and inspections of all property assets to determine priorities for repair, maintenance and improvements
• Keep accurate maintenance and service records
• Provide excellent customer service to hotel guests, vendors and employees
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to read/comprehend blueprints as well as procedural & repair manuals
• Electrical understanding from low voltage to 3 phase
• Functional knowledge of hand and power tool use
• Functional knowledge of carpentry, mechanics, sheet rocking, flooring, cutting and soldering
• Computer literate in Microsoft platforms and possessing ability to learn new systems as needed
• Possess ability to problem solve creatively
• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in facilities maintenance or engineering services a plus
• PM schedule with availability on weekends
• Highly responsible individual with an ability to work within a team and as an individual
• If Employee is accused of any act involving moral or ethical issues under any law, or any act which casts an unfavorable light upon the association with The Edgewater, any of its affiliate’s/ subsidiaries’ or employee is accused of performing or committing any act which would could adversely impact The Edgewater, any of its affiliate’s events, programs, services, or reputation, or degrades Employee in the community or which brings Employee into public disrepute, contempt, or scandal, The Edgewater shall have the right to terminate employment. The determination of whether and to what extent offense’s impact shall be made by The Edgewater at its sole discretion whether or not information in regard to information thereto becomes public.
