Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Creates project estimates
- Assists in selling jobs to clients.
- Conducts job site observations
- Tracks and meets deadlines set by clients and managers
- Reads and interprets plans and repair specifications from engineers and architects
- Incorporates OSHA and building code requirements into all estimates
- Qualifies and contacts subcontractors to bid on specific trade items if required to do so
- Proficient use of Xactimate estimating software
- Work with and build relationships with insurance adjusters and clients
- Works as a team with other ARSM & RE employees
- Reports to work as scheduled
- Meets regularly with the manager to review the progress of ongoing jobs and to discuss problem decisions outside of the limits of your authority/control
- Participates in safety meetings; wear the proper personal protective equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer and plans
- Be able to work in confined/enclosed spaces for moderate periods of time
- Be able to climb ladders and stairs throughout the day and be able to work/inspect work at a height of over 6 feet
- Be able to kneel, crouch, stoop, twist, reach, push, pull and grasp throughout the day
- Be able to work more than 40 hours per week when requested
- Vision to read printed materials
- Hearing and speech to communicate in person or over telephone
- Able to work in all weather

- Minimum 3 years' experience in the construction industry
- Reconstruction experience a plus but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Degree in construction management, or equivalent of work experience
