Industry leading, established commercial bakery near San Antonio, TX is seeking a Robotics Technician to join their growing team! The Robotics Technician monitors and maintains sophisticated automated and robotic equipment in a high-speed manufacturing setting responding in a timely manner to issues and providing solutions to maintain production. Newly commissioned robotics equipment in a growing facility with upward mobility available.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- The technicians' job requires monitoring the status of the robots, packaging equipment, and making any necessary adjustments, to keep the line running safely and efficiently.
- The candidate will need to be able to pay attention to detail.
- Must be willing to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shifts.
- Must work well with others and have effective communication skills.
- Must have good record keeping skills. Will communicate with Quality Assurance, Engineering and Sanitation to ensure our products are being produced as per company and industry standards.
- Will be responsible for scheduled maintenance on the robots, and all automated equipment as per OEM procedures and guidelines.
- Must possess an above average working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Will need to have a basic understanding of geometrical coordinates systems and how they are used to pinpoint objects.
- Will be responsible for performing safety checks on equipment to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Monitoring all types of equipment to ensure they are working properly and respond to issues as they arise.
- Basic understanding of electricity: voltage vs current etc.
- Basic understanding of electrical and electronic devices and how they operate. ex: relays, encoders, MPCB's, VFD's, contactors ect.
- Understands how to use a multimeter.
- Able to read electrical drawings and schematics.
- Basic understanding of PLC's and CPU controllers.
Job Requirements, Education, & Certifications
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
· 1 years’ experience in robot and production line equipment preferred.
· Understanding of PLC’s and electrical controls plus.
· Communicates and gets along well with others.
· Ability to adhere to and complete PM work in a timely manner.
· Able to operate a scissor lift.
