Job Purpose
This job function supports the acquisition and procurement of complex robotic automation systems and peripherals needed for HDMA new model, business plan and BEV projects.
Key Accountabilities
- Work cross-functionally with other project team members to create the “Master Robot Spec” for all NA FRAME projects utilizing robotic systems.
- Support the tracking of robotic system and peripheral equipment orders for projects across North America.
- Lead and coordinate weekly/biweekly team meetings with robot systems strategic partners.
- Create all requisitions for robot systems and peripherals, and coordinate approvals with NA CAPEX team.
- Create and manage long term robot system delivery schedules with other project leaders, and correlate with ED-Robotics project leads.
- Perform robot system evaluation checks and buyoffs at Honda and Robot vendors.
- Create and manage long term robot system delivery schedules with department project leaders.
- Create and maintain business workflows for MRS process, QIP and robot vendors and robot system drawing reviews.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related manufacturing discipline.
- OR 2 yr tech degree in automation or manufacturing or equivalent technical training program + 4 years experience
- OR Two-year technical degree in programming or electronics + 4 years experience
- OR 8 years experience On-Job-Training in technical trade / industry
- 2 years with BS Engineering
- Microsoft Office Product proficiency, Robot CAD, Simulation Proficiency
