What to Expect What You’ll Do What You’ll Bring
The AI Robotics team is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Robotics Inventory Manager to establish service spare parts and inventory control programs. The ideal candidate would be someone who has set up inventory tracking systems in a start-up environment leveraging industry best practices. They’re equally comfortable developing processes from the ground up as they are refining existing systems. Familiarity with material handling/planning/logistics is preferred.
- Set up and manage service and spare parts inventory, inventory control systems, and inventory management procedures
- Actively work with the other Operations team members (Service Technicians, Manufacturing, Warehouse) and Material Planners
- Identify appropriate levels of min and max material inventory levels, based on dynamic replacement/consumption rates
- Organize and maintain inventory records, including part numbers, quantities, locations, and expiration dates if applicable, using inventory management software or tools
- Regularly audit these inventory levels, and escalate shortages in advance
- Manage part substitutions, obsolescence, and engineering changes effectively
- Continuously assess and improve inventory management processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness
- 5+ years of related experience in a material handling/planning, inventory management, and/or logistics environment
- Experience working with computerized inventory systems and Microsoft Excel
- Experience setting up inventory systems from scratch
- Ability to navigate multiple inventory systems (MES, MOS, WARP, MFS)
- Strong knowledge of batch changeover and revision change execution
- Strong interpersonal, team, analytical and problem-solving skills. Flexible mindset to change, create or adapt to new processes
Compensation and Benefits
Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:
$68,000 - $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
