Job Description
This is a 100% on-site role. Remote work is not available for this position. All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops construction documents, calculations, exhibits, reports, and other supporting documents for Phase I and Phase II projects.
- Perform or supervise the development of plans and specifications for transportation projects.
- Leads teams to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Preparing contract plans, standards, and specifications for IDOT, ISTHA, CDOT, and CCDOTH, among other transportation agencies.
- Interact with the client’s management and engineering department to facilitate project efforts.
- Participate in professional organizations and events.
- Coordinates tasks and project schedules with team members.
- May lead tasks and be required to work independently to complete tasks.
- May develop or review cost estimates and quantity calculations.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS:
- BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong operating knowledge of OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, Power GEOPAK SS10, and ProjectWise among other Bentley products.
- IL PE required or ability to transfer PE License to IL.
- Roadway Plan Preparation experience.
- High familiarity with IDOT, Tollway, CDOT, and CCDOTH standards.
- Proficiency with Digital deliverables preferred.
- Strong operating knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
