Road Service Technician

HQHR, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Road Service Technician to join our team. As a Road Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation and logistics services.
In this position, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on trucks and other large vehicles. You will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Additionally, you will work closely with drivers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise while on the road.
The ideal candidate for this role is technologically proficient, detail-oriented, and has a strong mechanical aptitude. We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and manage their time effectively. Strong communication skills are also a must, as you will be interacting with drivers, customers, and other team members on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on trucks and other large vehicles
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise while on the road
• Collaborate with drivers and other team members to ensure efficient and effective repairs and maintenance
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance technical knowledge and skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Minimum of [X] years of experience as a mechanic in the transportation or related industry
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on trucks and other large vehicles
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with drivers, customers, and team members
