Quincy Medical Group (QMG) has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Assistant to join our team. QMG is a multi-specialty group practice with more than 155 physicians and providers in West Central Illinois, Southeast Iowa, and Northeast Missouri. Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant is responsible for both administrative tasks and patient care, serving as a liaison between the patient and the medical staff.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Normal work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work location is in Quincy, IL.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will create a positive patient atmosphere through excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. An active listener and champion in communicating to patients of all ages and backgrounds. Open to learning and educating themselves in medical terminology. Enjoys going to work in a team environment and providing excellent patient care.
High school diploma or GED required. CPR certification required, available upon hire. One to two years of experience in a clinical setting as a CNA, PCA, or MA is preferred, or valid IL RN or LPN license.
