Rn Trainer

We are currently hiring for a RN Trainer/ Educator in our Niagara & Erie Area! As a RN Trainer/Educator at Venture Forthe, you will be responsible for training to home health aides, personal care aides. The PCA/Training-Registered Nurse also assists in the agency’s continuing education/ in-service program and field competency testing of all clinical staff.

Job Qualifications

• NYS Licensed and currently registered as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing and holds a Diploma, Baccalaureate or Masters Degree.
• Home Care experience required - minimum of 1 year
• 2 years experience as an RN
• One year of education/instruction experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the scope of practice of professional and paraprofessional healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Instruct NYS PCA certification classes in our Rochester region
• Assist in developing, updating and maintaining training material and curriculum for PCAs as needed.
• Assists in the agency’s continuing education/in-service program and field competency testing of all clinical staff.
• May also be responsible for the direction, coordination and direct supervision of the agency’s paraprofessional staff and private duty/shift nursing services.
• Mostly office but will cover field visits when there are no classes running
