Job Description
Take all OB problem phone calls and document the charts appropriately.
· Review abnormal mammogram results and communicate results with patients.
· Manage the clinical staff including, but not limited to reviews, training, updates with policy and procedures.
o Review their task lists daily
o Manage their time off requests/ no shows
o Coordinate their lunch schedules (or even if they get one)
· Advocate for the front office staff and back office staff.
· Be a LEADER
o Set example of clinical excellence
o Exude and promote professionalism (dress, communication, behavior) at all times
· Manage Sono Tech’s schedules and delays…expedite sono work-ins.
· Participates in /Performs “Quick Start” each morning and afternoon.
· Cover floor several times during the day to (bottle-necking times: 830am; 11am; 1:30pm; 3pm):
o Observe staff
o Facilitate patient flow
o Anticipate coverage
o Communicate with practitioners
· Review OB charts monthly to ensure proper documentation and proper testing being performed and any missed appointments.
· Be intimately familiar with PrimeSuite/Greenway/PrimePatient –
o Generate reports – OB numbers – delivered/left/future deliveries etc…
o Update list of prescribed medications and labs
o Daily check on E-prescribe and sign off on RX awaiting signatures
o Monitor PrimeSuite emails several times a day and distribute accordingly
· Assist with reading NSTs/ staple removals/ OB triage when practitioner not readily available.
· Co-head monthly clinical meeting with other RNs.
· Manages supplies/ equipment/ lab testing for back office – while meeting and establishing a rapport with the vendors/ reps.
· Make sure Pre Ops are called day after surgery.
· Schedule inductions for OB patients at the hospital.
· Delegate Short-Term disability and FMLA paperwork for OB patients.
· Procure referrals for High-Risk OB patients.
· Resolves lab billing, flow problems.
