PAY RATE: $50 to $60 per hour
SHIFT: 12 hours [7am-7pm or 7pm-7am]
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our ICU team. As an ICU Nurse, you will provide critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in monitoring and managing patients' conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Duties:
- Administer medications, including injections and inhalation therapies
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, IV infusions, and respiratory support
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment
- Utilize medical terminology and documentation systems accurately and efficiently
- Assist with procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and chest tube insertion
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times
- Monitor and manage patients' pain levels and administer appropriate pain management interventions
- Collaborate with behavioral health specialists to address mental health needs of patients
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in California
- Minimum of 6 MONTHS of experience in the Telemetry Unit
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent assessment skills and ability to quickly recognize changes in patient condition
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
