RN Periop101

RWJBH is hiring an RN Periop 101 for the Operating Room at the Somerset Campus. This is a full-time, day shift position (40 hours/week).

Responsibilities:

• Periop 101 training including classroom and clinicals
• Enabling the RN to scrub and circulate for surgical cases in the OR

Qualifications:

• BSN preferred, ASN required
  • If candidate possesses ASN or Nursing diploma, must agree to complete BSN within five years of hire date
• Active, valid NJ Registered Nurse license
• BLS required through American Heart Association
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire through American Heart Association
• Experienced and new graduates can apply
• Excellent communication and observational skills needed
• Ability to work with members of the perioperative team, with knowledge of asepsis, infection control, and effects of anesthesia
