Children’s Wisconsin - Surgicenter is an outpatient surgery center that offers the latest technology. We perform a wide variety of outpatient surgical procedures, at a lower cost than the same procedures done at area hospitals.

Are you at a point in your nursing career where your looking for a position that offers no weekends or holiday's? If so, look no further this is the position for you!!

You will be responsible for planning and delivering professional nursing care throughout the perianesthesia continuum.

This position requires:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an ADN or a BSN in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse (or equivalent academic and/or professional experience). A BSN is preferred.

  • A current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin.

  • Three years of current post-anesthesia or critical care experience is required; experience in an ambulatory surgery setting is desirable.

  • Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.

  • PALS certifications required within 1 year of employment.

  • Pediatric experience preferred.

  • Must possess good eyesight, hearing, emotional stability, physical endurance and dexterity in order to draw meds, use phone, and write messages.

  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours, and lift and move large pieces of equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and remain mentally alert for accurate judgment

Hours: start times vary between 6am to 9am; 8 hour shifts; Monday through Friday.
