RN PACU/Endoscopy

Job description

Registered Nurse responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.Responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes through implementation of critical pathways and in accordance with the mission of the facility. A surgical team member who is responsible for coordinating and controlling the multi-disciplinary activities required to provide a safe environment for patients undergoing surgical procedures .Provides PACU/Recovery nursing care to patients in the facility.

Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension. Administers prescribed medications and treatments.Prepares equipment and aids Physician during procedure and examination of patient. ECG interpretaion & current ACLS/BLS. Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.Prepares rooms, equipment, and supplies for admitting and recovery of the patient.

1-2 years of hospital experience . Has knowledge of Endoscopy procedures. Prefer 1yr of Endoscopy(EGD/colon) experience along with PACU room experience .We are seeking an experienced professional who can work well under pressure. An ideal candidate will have a background in medical-surgical nursing and will be comfortable working with a large panel of patients. Our health care facility is accredited by AAAHC and we are looking for a seasoned Registered Nurse to join our team.
