Key Accountability – Clinical Skills
- Provides case management to a group of patients providing specific assessments according to protocols and procedures, clinical competence in procedural skill, treatments and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management, and acts as patient advocate in delivery and coordination of patient care.
- Prepare patient and assist provider with examination, treatment and minor surgical procedures.
- Assists in the delivery of healthcare services and patient care management.
- Responsible for obtaining medical histories, wound assessment and treatments, collection and preparation of specimens.
- Responsible for medication delivery, scheduling tests, answering telephone inquiries, providing patient education, and performing other duties as requested by physician/provider.
- Collaborates with other health care providers, wound care center Physicians, Program Director and Medical Director, regarding clinic and patient needs.
- Planning/organizing, dependability, multitasking, problem-solving, oral communication, teamwork, professionalism, high energy, follow-up, customer service, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Other duties as assigned
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse with current IL and IA license is required. (must apply for secondary upon hire)
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS certification). (can get upon hire)
