RN - OR Circulator

1. General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Prepare OR for surgical procedures by gathering equipment, medication and extra supplies. Open surgical supplies using sterile techniques and monitor sterile field. Assess patient condition prior to surgery. Assist anesthesia with induction and placement of ET tube. Complete charting in the EMR. Help turnover OR suite to maintain efficient patient flow.
2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Cerner EMR charting system. Stryker trauma implants, Stryker video system, Karl Storz video system, Stryker sport medicine equipment
3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.
3-5 years of RN circulation experience. Must have an understanding of ortho, general, OBGYN, ENT, and Urological procedures.
4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
Wyoming Nursing License, ACLS, PALS, BLS
5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
630-1500 M-F with call. 8 to 10 days of call per month
6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)

Hospital scrubs provided

Basic unit and safety orientation is provided. Orientation to the department is one week.
