At Meritus Women’s Health, we offer comprehensive OB/GYN care in addition to breast health and maternity services. Our women’s health services include education, nutrition and weight management, maternity, breast health, and overall health and wellness care. The Registered Nurse at Meritus Women’s Health will be responsible for pregnancy confirmation visits and fetal monitoring visits. Additional responsibilities include rooming patients, medication review, assisting with procedures to support our providers, triage and messaging to support coordination of patient care, and patient OB education.
In the physician practice setting, under the direction of the attending physician and the direct supervision of the office manager/supervisor the registered nurse provides care for patients using nursing processes, independent judgement, and evidenced based practice to assess actual or potential health problems. In addition, the registered nurse provides other clinical tasks ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Education – AA in nursing required. BSN preferred.
Experience – Minimum one-year clinical experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification – Current license to practice as Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland, or if resident of a state that participates in Nurse Multi-State Compact agreement, holds Registered Nurse License from that state that is designated as "Compact" or "Multi-State Privilege" using primary source verification and provides additional documentation as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing. RN License from a compact state with a designation of "Single State" does not meet the requirement and nurse must obtain a Maryland license. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy. Current BLS (CPR). ACLS and PALS required in the urgent care setting.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Ability to apply the standards of the professional nursing practice with compassion and empathy. Basic computer skills required. Must have high level of organizational and communication skills.
