We are hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Tele team at Cherokee Medical Center PRN!
Our 125 bed, acute care hospital offers a wide range of services and is part of an organization with 6 acute care facilities, over 11,000 team members and 400 volunteers. Our Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit has 24 beds and utilizes the latest technology such as Omnicell, Epic, Alaris Pumps, Workstation on Wheels and Mindray (for vitals), allowing our team to provide the best care possible for our patients. This unit's case types include COPD, Congestive Heart Failure, Medical Surgical, pneumonia, diabetes, sickle cell, cellulitis, etc. The leadership for this team has an awesome clinical background to include critical care and hospice. The Director of this unit originally began her career as a Staff Nurse within SRHS and understands how to position her new team members to be successful in their role. We love new grads and are very supportive of team members using this unit to build a foundation and springboard into a specialty areas. (or to be like other nurses on our team and enjoy your career within our awesome Med Surg/Tele unit). For team members interested in growing, we allow cross-training to specialty areas such as ICU and/or ED!! Our diverse patient population and case types enables our unit to grow SRHS Strong RNs!
The Registered Nurse recognizes and addresses patient needs or issues to achieve the highest level of patient satisfaction, quality and outcomes. The Registered Nurse provides, directs and coordinates professional nursing care for all patients following established clinical nursing standards and practices. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Licenses/Certificates:
•Current RN License to practice in South Carolina or Compact Licensure Agreement.
