The Nurse Manager is accountable for the daily operations of the unit(s) to include staffing, productivity, and service recovery. In addition, this position is available to mentor and develop staff, interface with other departments to assure patient throughput, and collaborate with the professional development department to assess and identify the learning needs of the staff. The manager utilizes both clinical and leadership skills to identify opportunities for performance improvement. The manager participates in the selection, evaluation, and coaching of unit employees.

*** A minimum of three years experience in nursing supervision as a coordinator, charge nurse or manager.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the nursing department
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth transitions
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff
- Monitor and manage department budgets, including staffing and supplies
- Participate in strategic planning and goal setting for the nursing department
Skills:
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in various areas of nursing, including infant care, ophthalmology, suture, spinal tap, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Proficient in discharge planning and family planning processes
- Familiarity with DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding and reimbursement systems
- Ability to provide health coaching and education to patients and families
- Strong leadership abilities to motivate and inspire nursing staff
- Knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations
