Shift : Mon thru Fri, 40 hrs per week
Location: 600 HOSPITAL DRIVE, SUITE 10, Clyde, 28721
The role you'll contribute: Perform chemotherapy administration, physician assistance, information gathering, sample collection, patient education, patient follow-up, supply maintenance and consultation. Assists with patient flow in busy oncology clinic. Oversees and delegates to CMAs as appropriate. May work in infusion or clinic setting as directed by manager.

- Assists physicians in providing care to patients with oncology and hematology conditions.
- Maintains accurate nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, vital signs, responses, and assessment of changes.
- Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum supervision
- Maintains current knowledge of medications and chemotherapy drugs and correct drug administration while following the Five Medication Rights to reduce medication errors.
- Prioritizes care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
- Licensed RN in the State of North Carolina required
- Current BLS certification required
- OCN certification required within 3 years of hire
- Chemotherapy and Biotherapy experience preferred
