Minimum Qualifications
Minimum EducationGraduate of a Program in Professional Nursing required.Bachelor's degree preferred Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to insure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville on all units. Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association requiredAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association required or within six (6) months of hirePediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) Emergency Nurse Association required or within six (6) months of hireTrauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Association preferredOther - New Graduate RN ACLS, PALS/ENPC required within one (1) year of hire Licenses:Registered Nurse from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact State required Minimum Work ExperienceMinimum 18 months RN hospital experience.
