JOB SUMMARY:*
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients in the Endoscopy unit, which spans population ages from late adolescent, young adults to geriatric patients. Promotes continuity of care for patients, providing direct care. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains standards for professional nursing practices in the clinical setting. Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span, possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and provides the care needed as described in the department/unit’s policy and procedures. Shifts vary according to the needs of the patients and department. Has on call responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.

Experience

• Minimum one-year recent Endoscopy experience preferred.

Licensure/Credentials

• Current Washington State RN license.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
