RN, Emergency- Part Time

Job Summary:

The Tri-State Hospital Emergency Department staff nurse is a professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients, ranging from neonates to geriatrics, for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation and other health care team members.

Nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, hospital, Nursing Department and regulatory standards. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members.

Skills and Abilities:

• Must have strong communication/writing skills and be able to deal effectively with patients and family members in crisis situations. 
• Able to work in a team environment while maintaining a highly professional and productive work ethic.
• Competent in the use of computers.

Qualifications/Education/Training:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• License or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC and NIHSS are desired upon hire.
• Acute Care experience preferred but not required.
