Form of workThe Perioperative Services Staff Educator develops, plans, implements, and evaluates onboarding/educational programs to meet the needs of the surgery center (CASC) at the Fields South location and to aide in the professional development of staff. Assists RN manager and RN supervisors to develop, plan, implement, and evaluate onboarding/educational programs to meet the needs of these areas and to aide in the professional development of these staff. Performs audits as needed to validate competency of the CASC staff.
Tracks and trends data. Maintains open and active communication with medical staff, patient care staff, and interdepartmental staff. Ensures the competency of all CASC staff.
Maintains departmental education records for the main operating room in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Develops and implements policies and procedures to meet regulatory compliance. Assists with quality and infection control initiatives for perioperative services.
