Requirements
Full time 40 hours week with on call rotation
As our RN Designee you will be responsible for:
• The RN Designee position will focus on managing the day-to-day quality of the administrative and clinical programs of the Assisted Living Services Agency (ALSA).
• Responsible to act as SALSA in their absence
• Serve as a liaison to families/designated representatives, health care agencies, emergency response teams, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers
• Assures compliance with all Federal and State regulations
• Have a passion for working with all ability levels of seniors, including individuals experiencing brain change
• Will assist in promoting a sense of wellness throughout the community to promote maximum independence
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Responds to others in a positive, courteous, and respectful manner
Expectations:
The RN Designee works alongside our SALSA and has primary responsibility for the administrative requirements set forth by the Department of Public Health in the regulations for Assisted Living. On call rotation
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN degree preferred
Three to Five years of nursing experience working with a senior population
Supervisory experience a plus, and / or equivalent combination of education and experience
Current license with the Board of Examiners as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut is required
Previous experience working in an assisted living setting, preferably as SALSA or RN Designee
Condition of Employment:
Candidate must successfully complete Pre-Employment Medical Clearance consisting of a Physical, PPD, Drug Test.
EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 13B:
Requires all employees are to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, (ii) has received the two-dose series vaccination and the booster/third dose and/or has an appointment for the booster or third dose.
