Are you a registered nurse with a valid license in the Portland, Salem, or Eugene, Oregon area? Do you want to join a booming industry that has high impact – serving seniors in assisted living and memory care spaces? Fast Nurse Staff is looking for a dedicated, organized, and flexible Registered Nurse Delegator to join our team.

This is a per diem (PRN) position that pays $55/hour. Travel IS REQUIRED and the amount depends on business needs. Mileage is reimbursed!

Position Summary

The Nurse Delegator ensures that resident care needs are met by delegating nursing tasks, training staff, and overseeing medication services. Assists with coordinating and completing assessments and all residents have accurate service plans as requested.

Education

Registered Nurse license with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Qualifications and Experience

Must have current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice. Must have delegation experience in the state assigned. Experience in geriatric nursing, medication administration, case management, and training and staff development preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Delegates nursing tasks as allowed under applicable state nursing laws and practice acts, communicating regularly with residents, their families, and their health care practitioners.

2. Provides training of staff in health-related services including but not limited to providing personal care and medication management.

3. Assesses health, functional, and psychosocial status of residents. Participates in the development of individualized service plans. Assists in managing care and services for each resident, maximizing the resident’s opportunity to remain in the assisted living environment.

4. Oversees the documentation and communication of resident care and services. Assists the leadership team to ensure resident records are completed in a timely manner and maintained according to company policies and state regulations.

5. Maintains and oversees medication services including staff training, staff oversight, pharmacy coordination, medication room, and medication systems.

6. Performs other duties as assigned.
