Position Summary:
As a Registered Nurse on our Med/Surg Unit, you will be seeing, treating, and providing quality care to the patients of our community ranging from infancy to geriatric with a variety of general medical problems requiring hospitalization. This floor is dedicated to post-surgical patients recovering from surgeries such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, mastectomy, TURPs, or wound debridement. You may also encounter patients with COPD, CHF, pneumonia, or arrhythmias.
As a Clinical Nurse Lead, Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will provide direct and indirect patient care in the patient care setting, utilizing the nursing process. This position will be responsible for the direction of patient care activities in the department, provides management of operational and nursing activities. The ICU Clinical Nurse Lead will be required to consult with staff, physicians, and department director on operational problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient care needs are met. This position will also manage staff members within the ICU department and assist with HR functions such as hiring, counseling, evaluations and scheduling.
Required Education:
Associate's degree is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred
Required License:
Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state)
Required Certification:
BLS is required within 30 days of hire
ACLS is required within 6 months of hire
Other:
1 year of experience in a health care setting is required
1 year of experience as a charge nurse or other management role is preferred
